Windows 7 HMI XP mode

I can get everything to work under a straight XP OS no problem. I haven't used a Siemens PG for many years. I have a nice shiny new 17" laptop with Windows 7. Normally I would dual boot my laptop but I was hoping that with XP mode I would n't need to. Windows 7 has an Virtual XP mode which I can run Step 7 OK. The problem with HMI advanced for PC SL version is that is uses ethernet to communicate and it would appear impossible to set an IP address as it uses the windows 7 network card. So I was wondering if anybody had got this specific bit of software running.
