Dear Users and Moderators, I have the folowing project to do (one photo = 1000 words, so please find in the attachement what is all about). So, the client want full modernization of one stack machine (i attached one photo with this machine, pag2). The operator can control this machine from the machine Cabin or from distance, let's say, from one buliding SA39 (near to machine). Now, if the operator will stay in Building SA39(control room) he will control the machine wireless. My problem is that i dont know wich SCALANCE i should choose for this communication. (This is my first project with wireless). On this wireless communication i will send/recive max 300 signals and also i want to display the same screens on HMI from Control Room what are displayed in Control Cabin. In present I dont buy nothing from the equipment.

Hello Bogdan, the easiest way would be to establish an Access Point <-> Client Connection. If possible for you, you could use a SCALANCE W784-1 (Access Point) with a SCALANCE W746-1(Client)whichare IP30 approved. This manual will help you to configure the modules: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/42784493 |

Dear Bogdan462 I saw your PDf file for the configuration. You can use Scalance SCALANCE W784-1 (Access Point) with a SCALANCE W746-1(Client) as Rated X has already informed. But on the other side please look for the distance & Intereference also arround that area. Becuase we have already used this configuration but as soon as Wireless devices goes out of range, it breakes communication & BF comes on CPU. The signals also depends on Wind directions & atmosphere conditions. So take care for that. |
