We want to deploy a network of Siemens communication between machines, with the goal of executing sending and receiving programs, visualization and production status of each machine and include features to help us to track each machine remotely, using our machines CNC's Siemens (810,840D,840Di), and we want to create a wireless network, someone has managed to create, or know exeperiencias of other companies that use this type of industrial network?

I've had experience of using the devices in electrically noisey workshops and the results were quite good. We intend to write our own software for comms and management information but it is not so easy unless you use an older version of VB which supports DDE.

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Dear Max Sandro, I agree with JMJ, the SCALANCE W series provides excelent Wireless LAN capability for industrial environment. The only thing I would recommend to you to do before you start to plan or to invest is to do a site survey. By doingthis you will find out how the environmental conditions are, how the surrounding noise is and which Channels you may use for your installation... These are very important issues to check before you start your project. Just to mention. If you are interested in such a service I think I can offer you some addresses to get in touch to. You can use Following modules 1. MDA : Machine Data Acquistion 2. DNC : Direct Numerical Control 3. TPM : Total Preventive Maintenance 4.
