It is not true for all Siemens panels and I do not believe that they will implement that feature for KTP. Upload of Siemens HMI was never possible. Only project backup. Nothing more.

asterios_damianos Regular Member Joined: 10/24/2013 Last visit: 5/9/2024 Posts: 11 Rating: (1)	HI! all. a)In s7-200s were the ability to communicate (by MPI/PPI) network several plcs(up S7-212)with several micropanels, used only the RS485 port and the (expensive) Probibus-type connectors. In S7-1200s we need for similar ability the large & expensive CPU-215 with 2 ports , or extra switches. I think that all S7-1200 CPUs should have 2 ports, or at minimun to there are CPU all types with 2 ports (S7-1214 with 1 or 2 ports e.g) in similar Price. b) In HMI Basic panelswe aren't able to right in a text-field in vertical style?????? c) the editor of DB is very bad e.g.there isn't copy-paste,they are not way to add values in absolute address, when used copy-paste of a DB the name isn't renamed automaticaly and so on. d) the terminal boards of S7-1200 have too small holes and pins that we 40+ age is difficulte to see! Hahaha!!!

In TIA Portal V12 SP1 Update2 copy-paste works fine in DB (use Add row button if you want to insert after the last line), and the auto rename of DB name works too (adds _1). To see the absolute addresses - uncheck option "Optimized block access" in Properties-Attributes.

This would make the S7-1200 able to send automatic reports without need for NAT-ing and outside device to first get the file, then send it. If this is not possible, the second best would be to reach the web-server or csv files via a CP 1242-7. BR Ben
