Eng.Abdo Posts: 99 Rating: (0)	can someone help me here since am not expert in wonderware and they don't support the old version anymore Ø Problem: Wonderware is not communicating with S7-300 Ø SW Description: 1- Windows 2000 / SP 4 2- SIMATIC NET V 6.2 3- Wonderware In Touch V7.1.0 4- SIMATIC MANAGER V 5.1 Ø HW Description: 1- SIEMENS CP 5613-A2 “PROFIBUS” 2- CPU 316-2DP Ø System Status: 1- Communication status between the PC and S7-300 is “OK” 2- CP Card status “OK” 3- Wonderware Status “no communication with the PLC” Note, The “WWLOGGER”, Shows the following message “ERROR (-2): S7_get_cref (cpd=0 conn=S7_SY): [(23) connection name in CRL not found: make sure the CR-name is correct, and the CP descriptor references the correct CP” your help is appreciated thanks Attachment wwlogger.JPG (533 Downloads)

I wonder, do you have any idea how the connection was called within NetPro as you configured it? Was it maybe called the standard way... like"S7-Connection_1"??? Please check this first. Do you have the STEP 7 project you use with your system?I think you use an Application as placeholderby SIMATIC NET. If you select this Application you will find your connections configured. In your case with using COM L S7 9 (it's a very old story) check Upgrading to SIMATIC NET CD 07/2001 or higher with existing S7 connections (created with COML S7) and Configuring an S7 connection under COM L S7 best regards, Hristo Mihalev

Best regards J_Bell thanks J_Bell sure i have the step 7 project and its already tasted and communicating as well, my question is why i need to creat a PC station "normally i do this in PCS7"? cause i already configerd my PG/PC Interface. i think it worse a try. thanks

The COML S7 program creates the .txt and .ldb files necessary for Simatic Net to interface the Siemens CP5613 card to either the MPI port on the S7-CPU, or the Profibus port. There exist one technote document regards establishing the connnection. the title is Tech Note 220. At the moment I don't have it, but if you couldn't find it in GOOGLE i can send you. BUT you have newer CP. (A2). In this case COM L S7 is not valid. This is part from older SimaticNet. The only way is to use OPC SimaticNet server (make PC Station and using OPC Scout to read from S7 CPU) and then using OPCLink to connect the data with Intouch. 1. Wonderware OPCLink User's Guide 2. How do you configure an S7 connection for a user application via PROFIBUS with the SIMATIC NET PC software? SimaticServer you read/write all items from/to CPU. And with OPCLink make connection - all items with topic name in Intouch maker.
