Hello saraasamani; You give us no information on the actual software you are working with, or the type of PLC you want to simulate. It would be easier for us if that information was part of the original question, don't you think? For the moment, I can provide you with this guide on starting PLCSim on TIA Portal (v14 and up): https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/61931797 One of the important points is that the communication interface selected for your virtual PLC must be PG/PC Interface = "PLCSim", and not the real interface you would use with your real PLC (MPI or Ethernet). If this does not provide the information you need, please come back to us with more details. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hello saraasamani; There might be a subtility when you are trying to simulate a S7-300 without integrated DP connectivity, such as your CPU 314. See if the following article helps you: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/21490282 You can also try to simulate a CPU 315-2DP, foor example. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
