Write a Value from Mitsubishi HMI to S7-1200 PLC via Modbus TCP Interface.

Hello Family ,

Here we are having Trio Motion Controller, S7_1200 PLC , Mitsubishi HMI.

Where Two Controllers are configured as Modbus Masters In Mitsubishi HMI.

Now I want to write a Value from Mitsubishi HMI to S7_1200 PLC via Modbus TCP Interface.

For that I want to map a Address in S7_PLC for storing of that value.

How to Map that Address..??

for first I see probably some missunderstanding about Modbus terminology what can be then problem to understand what you really want to do. Your 2 PLCs can't act here as Masters because generally HMIs act as Master so can you confirm Mitsubishi functionality? If you ask how set things inside Mitsubishi, you're on wrong place. You need in this case ask on Mitsubushi Forum. Question is what you really need to do because I can imagine more options doable via Modbus TCP but functionality of Mitsubishi is outside of my knowledge. I recommend in case of S7 PLC check TIA system manual but functionality of your S7 PLCs need to be clear to you. I expect different role as you've mentioned and PLCs can act as Servers with Holding register defined to store your data. Pls give us more infos to help you better.

if you have some problem with Server block check optional parameters as static variables, check TIA system manual. Next recommendation is to have your DB for data with not optimized access under DB option, this is common problem. Next your problem is that you did reservation inside DB of 10 WORDs but your request is to 33-rd register so your DB is not enough with length, this is next problem. I recommend check Modbus problematic at www.simplymodbus.ca where you'll get good study.

1. you're asking about 3-rd party device cfg - wrong place here.

2. again pls, look to your picture, you mix infos. What is that 33 value? I expect is 33-rd register so if yes, your cfg is wrong. Look to your expected address, is 400001 which is extended range of register addressing.

3. do you execute your Server block, is working? Your Client is indicating connection established? Without to know this you can again ask WHY...

4. if you want be sure what message sends your Mitsubishi Client, attach some PC MB TCP Server SW and check incomming message. Here I expect put away PLC and use PC with this SW. Better understanding of Modbus is expected.
