I am using WinCC RT Advance. I wanna write a VB Script for exporting tag value into excel file periodically after every 1 hour. How I can do it ???

Scenario 1

If you just need to log to a text-based format (such as csv), you could do this a couple of ways as I can see

A) use WinCC Logging for Runtime Advanced, which has the option to log to txt file.

You can also trigger logging tags on demand, e.g. at the start of every hour.

B) If you don't want to use Logging for Runtime Advanced, you could use file system objects in scripts, triggered every 1 hour from the WinCC task scheduler.  Here's an example:

Scenario 2

You actually need to log to excel format.  Again, two ways I can see here

A) Use SOAP to pull the values from RT Advanced into an Excel spreadsheet.  Here is the application example.  You could adapt that to your needs.

B) write values to Excel from RT Advanced using a script.
