Write data into csv file via VBScript for TP900 Comfort Panel

Hi to all,

I want to create folder and named it system date then create file into this folder and named it system hour.

 I  tried to do that operation via script which is below. But i failed. Could you help me ?

Dear Serhat_ates,

what does your compiler says? Does it indicate at which line in your script the error occurs?
If that's the case, please share the feedback given by your compiler.

Maybe your error handling gives you feedback? Please share that as well...

Now my guess what could be the problem:
First: I dont think the FileCtl.Filesystem Object contains e method called "FolderExists". Try using the "Dir" method instead. The Dir method will return a file or foldername that matches your search instructions. You must first supply the Dir method with a pathname on the first call, and afterwards you can loop the Dir method without any parameters to get all other results that match your search pattern.
You can compare the results with the actual file/folder you are searching for to determine whether or not you have to create only a new text file or a new text file and folder.

Second: I don't think method "CreateFolder" exists, instead try using method "MkDir".

Third: Use method "Open" instead of "CreateTextFile".

Fourth:  path ="strTime" is not correct; by using the quotes you indicate you want to enter a string, remove the quotes to make a reference to the variable itself.

Finally i have created that script but still does not work on the Panel and compiler did not give me any error. I could not figure out :S

You cannot use the "Dir" method that way.
Try to use the "Dir" method in a loop and make sure you have returned each and every file in that folder before you end that loop.

But in your case I don't think you even need to check whether or not the file and folder exists.
That's because the "open" method will open the specified file when it exists or create a new file when it doesn't. So just use "fo.open strTime,8", no need to check if the folder exists or not.

What can be useful is to delete the file in case it already exists; in that case you can use the "Dir" method combined with the "Kill" method.

Those are the steps:
-So just open (or create file) by using the open method
-Check whether or not the file is newely created with the "LOF" method, if so add a header.
-Use lineprint method to add date to your opened file
-Close your file
-Set your object variable to nothing

That's it, I don't think you need the first part of your script.

Now that scripts works as i want  , thank you "Jens_app" for your attention. I m going to develop that script like add alarms etc. During the developing time i will let you now, i ll need your help :)

Kindly find attachment.. If you change the tag value.. it will call the script and append data in csv file. It will create new csv file everyday. I have created this file for TP1200 comfort
