Write real data to CSV file

Rahul Sayre Experienced Member Joined: 2/24/2009 Last visit: 1/11/2025 Posts: 116 Rating: (2)	Dear Expert, I am using below link example to write values to CSV file. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/26107211 During writing I am facing problem for writing real values. Decimal is not getting write in appropriate format, like if I want to print 1.2 it shows 1,2 if I want to print 1.2345 it writes 12,345. I am using same back up only instead of int tag I have change that tag to real. Please suggest what to do. regards, Rahul

Please suggest what to do. regards, Rahul hello Rahul Sayre, looks like you have different language settings in your program and operating system. Somewhere you probably have a "German" setting, as there commas are used with real values. regards

glinglin Posts: 50 Rating: (6)	My friend good morning from Greece First you must deside how many decimal places you wand to have in your real on csv file.Let say you wand to have 3 decimal places.Multiplay your real by 1000 then using TRUNC convert this real to DI.then convert DI to real divide by 1000 and you will have your real number.

I want value to be written as it is as they are in tag. I hope now the things are clear to you. regards, Rahul
