I have a problem and hope someone can help.

I tried to search on the forum, as well as online but I couldn't find any solution:

The setup is: CPU 1214C + CP 1243-1, TP700 Comfort. TIA V15.1 Update 2 

I have a request from a customer, that they want our plc to write a TXT file on a network PC,

I know I can use a VB script to do so, but the problem is, the PN network is not on the same network as the customer's one, to witch I am connected via the CP 1243

Let's say, for example that the PN is 192.168.0.x (PLC and HMI) and the customer's is 10.0.0.x (CP)

Are there any ways to write the TXT file on the customer's network using the CP as a bridge between the 2 networks?

I hope i've explained myself, if not I'll try to add more info, if needed.

Hi Murof,

thanks for your reply, however I've already seen the FAQs, but I didn't found the answer to my question.

I think that I'll still need to use an external router between the two networks to communicate from one to another, instead of using the CP to do so.

The Siemens support also told me about HMI Option+, a tool that, in addition to many other thing, come in handy to easily reach different devices on other subnet (maybe will be helpfull to someone :D)

Just for future reference:

I did manage to get the communication between the Panel and the PC via a router, but I got in some trouble since Windows CE network work only with Network Names instead of IPs, therefore to be able to browse a network resource in another Subnet, you have to use the IP of the router between the two subnet as Default Gateway AND (that's the important part) you have to use the Shared PC' IP as WINS server IP inside the Panel configuration.

As a side note: if you're using HMI Option+ 2.0 "Host" settings, then the above method doesn't work.
