Wrong active tool number after Start-up with saved data

LiquidNOx Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Due to an errorneous behaviour of our Eagle 450 Minimill (Sinumerik 802D) i decided to do a start-up with saved data in order to give the machine a "clean start". This worked out very well except for on particular thing. The backup, not performed by myself, was made with tool T8 in the spindle, but when the machine was restarted the active tool was T12, although there is no physical tool in the spindle. The tool carousel is in position 12, so it would be good if I somehow could persuade the system that the active tool is T12 instead of T8. Anyone aware of a simple solution to this? Or will the system sync itself during the next physical tool change? Thanks in advance!

Pee Ell Sea Posts: 672 Rating: (57)	HI, Suggest you manually put tool 12 in the spindle and ask for a tool change. It is unlikely to sort itself out unless each tool has a data chip.
