One of the frustrations when swapping to the new controller is having to rewrite software to match the new PID loop. The old Siemens S7-200 loop worked perfectly well though you had to do a lot outside the loop to make it work seamlesly. So I have taken the formulas for the S7-200 PID and put them in to an S7-1200 FB. The DB follows the format for the S7-200 and I have made it non optimised so you can access the DB by name or memory location. This is completely untested and untried but I have followed the Siemens formulas to the letter. I will try to set up a test rig later in the week but things are a bit busy.
