How to connect PT100 into S7-1200 ?

(I still didnot buy the PLC) Is there some special input module for it? Or I must use converter? If yes, which converter would you recommend ? (Im in Canada) Thank you very much. Jiri.

What is a PT100? If it's a thermocouple, or RTD, you'll need to get the TC or RTD module. If it is strictly a temperature module with a voltage or current output, you'll need an analog input module. Hope that is helpful.

So If I understand well, there is no special analog input card for S7-1200 where can I connect the RTD directly. I heve to buy some "converter" and connect output from this converter to standard analog input (0-10V) in PLC. ( PT100 RTD ----> Conv / 0-10V -----> PLC AI 0-10V ) Can you please recommend me some cheap converter for 6 RTD probes ? PS: I dont need super precise regulation... + / - 1C is quite OK Thank you very much. Jiri.

Jiri. http://www.totallyintegratedautomation.com/2010/04/s7-1200-temperature-signal-modules/ That is in english for me. It may translate well. Basically it says the RTD modules for the S7-1200 should work for you. You'll need at least two of them as they handle 4 RTDs per module. No additional converter required. Hope that helps.
