Dear lapen_76 , I like your idea of using buttons and resistor for setting point b/c it reduces no of DI. I have attached here my sample program, read the comments, simulate and observe the result. Not that this is example program trying to answer your core questions, to make it practical please include: 1. Scaling between your analog set point and encoder reading. 2. Select your encoder type in the way that CHA up count pulse and CHB count direction (or modify the program to suit your encoder) 3. Delay between motor FWD/REV and motor ON. 4.
