Hello Dolpong; For a basic review of the protocols supported by the integrated Profinet port on the CPU and a CP 443-1, have a look at the following FAQ:
Which types of connection/protocols do the S7-300/400 CPUs and the CPs support by default?
https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/24352751
You can see that both interfaces support the same basic functionalities (except for ISO Transport protocol, E-Mail and FTP, available only with CPs). However, there are different levels of CP 443-1, and all of the modules do not support all of the functionalities (the CP 443-1 Advanced is the most flexible CP, also the most expensive). And the implementation of the different protocols sometimes require different communication blocks on the CPs and on the integrated Profinet port. For mode details, use the links available in the FAQ. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
