We keep receiving questions regarding the replacement battery for the SIMATIC Field PG (programming device)

The batteries that could be installed in the SIMATIC Field PG M3:

SP303 Order. No. 6ES7798-0AA06-0XA0, SP304 6ES7798-0AA07-0XA0 

SP305 Order. No. 6ES7798-0AA08-0XA0

can no longer be ordered as spare parts from Siemens.

There are numerous prefabricated offers and solutions regarding replacement batteries for a SIMATIC Field PG M3 on the market. We would be pleased if you share your experiences with the community in this thread.

If you have ordered a replacement battery for your Field PG M4, M5 or M6, you will receive the replacement battery Li-Ion 8.25 Ah of the Field PG M6 (Order No. 6ES7798-0AA10-0XA0). For this replacement battery, a BIOS update must be carried out on your Field PG M4 or Field PG M5.

Field PG M5 is required.
