Hi, It must be possible, see COM PROFIBUS V 5.1 Not to Be Installed Under Win NT for more information. There are also new hotfixes for COM Profibus, HF1, HF2 and HF3, please install them all, they are not containing with a higher version the lower version. Hotfix 1 for COM PROFIBUS V5.1 Hot fix 2 for COM PROFIBUS V5.1 Hotfix 3 for COM PROFIBUS V5.1 It will help also if you copy the CD to the harddisk. |

Hello Pradhan; If you look at the contents of the Hotfix 3 link above, here is what you will find: Installation prerequisites for Hotfix 3: System prerequisites: Windows 2000 with SP3 or SP4 This is the latest version of ComProfibus available, I reaaly doubt it can be installed on XP or later versions o Windows OS.

If you are sure that you need this product, I recommend you open a Service Request and ask Siemens techs directly; use the link at the top of this page.The part number for COM Profibus v5.1 is 6ES5 895-6SE03.
