I start to wonder if you intend to use the FB IM308C (default number is FB 192) which would also explain why you previously asked for the "address area". Anyhow, usage of this FB192 is optional (I never had the need for it), but if you do want to employ it, the default IM308C/FB192 "DPAD parameter"address is (F)F800 and can be changed in the Master propertiesfrom your COM Profibus cofiguration. This address however has nothing to do with your ET200M I/O addresses, which are configured on the DP Slaves. Attached is an example screendump of it which shows P area I/O address assignment. |

Hi fritz, Thanks a lot for your help. First of all I do not want to use FB192. Second, I investigated the actual condition of the PLC as follows: 1- By checking the dip switches, I found that the end of digital outputs is QB39 (located at central rack). End of digital inputs IB89 (located at extension rack). 2- I connected online to the PLC, and from the menu "PLC" - Output PLC Memory, I entered the starting address F F000H. I found that starting from address F F05A and till the address F F07F the value is FFFF which means that this area is empty. Refer to the attached print out from the Comprofibus program, now I am confused which address I need to enter in the reserved Iarea for the master, and which address I have to enter for the address of the DP slave? Can you help me? Best regards Attachmentconfiguration.zip (452 Downloads) |

"Nothing" is the short answer dear yac! All this "reserve address" does is to cause a warning if you try to use any "reserved" address areas for your DP Slaves, so leave it blank as you already know which addresses are in use in the central and expansion racks.
The addresses that you want to use for your ET200M I/O's. Note too the inbuilt help of COM Profibus which is quite comprehensive and useful. You'll also findthe COM Profibus manual on your COM-PB CD, nonetheless, below is the link for it and also another useful one relating to IM308C which I trust will come in handy. COM PROFIBUS ET 200 Distributed I/O System with IM 308-C I hope this helps |
