SAV Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hello, I don't have the latest release of step 7, I have the V5.3 SP2, but I want to used the CPU 6ES7 313-5BF03-0AB0 the latest CPU 313C. But I didn't found the GSD for this CPU. WhereI could find it ? It is very urgent. [;)] SAV

GSD file is only necessary when the CPU will be a Profibus slave. I hope this will help. Best regards, Wizard

Late Platinum Expert Joined: 1/7/2006 Last visit: 11/17/2023 Posts: 2705 Rating: (318)	Hi Sav, As mentioned by The Wizard, you need the Hardware Support Package to update above version V5.2 the hardware catalog to get the new hardware in to the Hardware projecting of STEP7. When there is new hardware that is not possible to program with the Version you have, then the HSP wouldn't help you. For example the PN-functionality is from STEP7 V5.3 SP1, so therefore you wouldn't see the CPUs before that Version! The GSD-files are fore Profibus DP Slavesand the GSDML-files are fore Profinet Devices. Thatis the equipment from third devicesupliers and also other Siemens departments (then A&D).
