JWdotNET Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hello, Recently i purchased a netlink adapter from helmholz it is connected to the ethernet port of your PC and to the MPI port of your PLC very handy to program through networks but does anyone have any experience with connecting through a router? i used a portmap on NAT .. but it does not seem to work With kind regards, Jan-Willem

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, well I have no clue what Protocol is used there, but if you use the S7-Protocol you have to Map the Port 102 with the Device you want to talk to. The PG Functions work on Port 102. Best regards J_Bell

shanny Posts: 44 Rating: (0)	HI, If using the router means that the IP address of the netlink cannot be seen from the programming computer i.e. you cannot ping the address, and and the router cannot resolve the connection seamlessly then it looks a hopeless case to me. I would like to know if you get it to work though. I am using IBHLink and may hit the same problem in the future. shanny

robcioj Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	Hi. Netlink use port 1099. If You are beind NAT You have to forward this port. I'm using it without problem with VPN, WiFi etc.

For example in hardware configuration I when I have CP 343 card I am enterign IP address in propertis of this card. How about NetLink. Thanks for answer
