When download the program to CPU appears this message: Error: Supply voltage missing HW_ID=269

Dysot Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hello I am using TIA V14, and I need start my project with CPU 6ES7214-1AG40-0XB0 V4.2 and the module 8AI RTD 6ES7231-5PF30-0XB0 V1.0, but only when I download the program appear this message: Error: Supply voltage missing HW_ID=269 I have some questions about these: 1. Is the module in fault.? 2. Is the firmware version the trouble? 3. Can I fix it, with out replace the module? Thanks ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from Siemens s7 1200 8 channels RTD hardware pack ????. Is your card correctly wired and have power from supply? Yes, of course. In fact while the CPU is with out program the diagnostic´s led of the module is green. At the moment that I download the program the fault appears. Regards

Is this value default after insert module? I can't simulate your situation, everytime I have ID 267. What other HW you have on CPU?

Dysot, Have you looked at the reference wiring diagram for the RTD module? It is attached. You can find it easily by googling the siemens part #, selecting industry mall, and select the image / cad data. Choose the image showing wiring and verify your terminal blocks are installed correctly. For the older hardware revisions, the terminal blocks can be installed 1 pin to the right or left of the correct position, which would cause this problem. A flashlight and magnifying glass may help, or a smartphone camera / flash enabled. Duris_I Hello, interesting, your ID is 269. Can you confirm your RTD module has HW ID 269? It is over 5 years old and no longer for sale (that ended in 2013). Contact your Siemens support via phone or My requests -> Create request on these forums and ask about it. The reference wiring diagram is attached showing where the L+/M/GND leads go. Your PLC firmware may be incompatible with that old RTD module, at least for diagnostics data. That is why I suggested a firmware update may be available. That same time frame, I had TC modules that required FW updates after upgrading PLC to FW 3.x or higher.
