You Should contact your local Siemens Partner for more Details.

You will get the Simatic - software for very low price, you will have all interface you need on board. PG is best solution in the field. For S7-400H, I can not say that PG have any advantage in its interfaces. But PG is more robust than any laptop. You can buy Laptop + all needed SW (even with high prices) + PC adapter and still price will be less than PG. As I told in my las post here, "money talks" I understand you need to have an engineering station to work on in emergency or maintenance cases. Although PG is morerobust than laptops, but I believe if your usage of it is not daily, so Laptop will do the job. Hope this helps.

At least in Germany. If I buy PG with all I need, it is approx. same then buying high quality Notebook (no "Lenovo" or shit like that) with additional DP-Interface and SIMATIC MMC - Reader and S7 Professional and WinCCflexadvanced. If I looking also for Step5 Support, it becomes even more.

Hello IBN, May be yes because it depends on countries and /or discount factors. As per my first post here I recommended to recieve an offer from Siemens Local office. IBN-Service ....... If I looking also for Step5 Support, it becomes even more. If you looking for Step 5, you should select PG with Windows XP As per PG-M4 technical specification, Scope of delivery/accessories Pre-installed operating system: Windows XP Prof. SP3 Engl. MUI, 32-bit (Eng, Ger, Fr, Sp, It; additional languages can be installed later) or Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (Eng, Ger, Fr, Sp, It; additional languages can be installed later). Note: STEP 5 and STEP 7-Micro/Win are not pre-installed on devices with Windows 7 incl. SP1. STEP5 is not executable under Windows 7 incl. SP1** May be you don't care if you bought a PG-M4 with OS MS Windows XP, but please note that as of April 8, 2014 Microsoft stated that no more technical support or Service Packs will be provided for Windows XP.
