Please confirm if S5 to S7 converter is a standard feature of Step 7 V5.4 as I am not able to get File --- Import...... in the S7 that is installed in my laptop, screen shot is attached for your reference please

s5-s7 conversion is an stand-alone software installed with s7.

Go to Windows start-SIMATIC-STEP7 and you will find shortcut to s5-s7 tool.

file to start application is .....programfilefolder\Siemens\Step7\S7U5C\s7u5capx.exe

a) S5 to S7 seems to be working as evident from attached jpg, when we click, on "Start", in the attached screen, compiling starts, ends with 2 errors and 11 warnings

b) Now we need to import this text file of Step 7 in Simatic Manager, but we dont find File ---- Import etc in Simatic Manager, Please advice on how to Import

To convert an S5 program:

1. Make sure that the S5 program files are prepared correctly.

2. Using the menu command File > Open select an S5 program file.

3. The following dialog box "Converter-[...]" displays all files and blocks that take part in the conversion. You can change the standard names of the new files and the standard numbers of the blocks by clicking on the file or block name.

4. Confirm the names by clicking on the "OK" button.

5. During the conversion the current status of the conversion is displayed in a window (status window). By clicking on the "Cancel" button you can cancel the conversion.

6. Confirm the end of the conversion by clicking on the "OK" button in the dialog box which appears.

7. After the conversion, a separate message window displays the errors and warnings that have occurred during the conversion. You should now attempt to correct these errors.

8. Execute the steps 1 to 6 again. When you execute the conversion a second time you have to confirm that you want to overwrite the existing files <Name>AC.AWL (STL source file), <Name>AF.SEQ (error file) and <Name>S7.SEQ (converted assignment list). When you click on the "OK" button, the files from the first conversion will be deleted.

9. After the successful conversion, use the Insert > External Source File menu command to insert the STL file in an S7 project in the SIMATIC Manager.

If you need help on the dialog boxes or the windows, click on the "Help" button or press F1 while you are in the dialog box or the window.
