Hi. Check the power cable connections. Check the power cable for short circuit/ ground fault. Check the motor winding resistance after disconnecting the power cable. Check whether the DC link voltage is present. Regards Syam |

Thanks for the help Syams. I have checked everything out and now I suspect the replacement drive I put in is faulty (6SN1123-1AA00-0EA1). It is a used unit that was purchased from a reputable company that had tested the unit before I recieved it. I bench tested it according toSiemans recomended procedure and it test out fine,But it fails when power is applied.I found this out by swapping it out for a known good part in a another running machine. (Same failure,same fault codes.) Ishould recieve another replacement drive today and will try again.I'll post the results. Thanks. |

Problem Solved! The replacement Spindle drive would fault out when power was applied to it, even though it would bench test OK. I had another shipped overnight and now all is good. Although the lathe was down for a week,at least I learned much about Siemans Drives! Thanks all and take care. |
