If there is any other type of barcode scanner which support LOGO then I am OK with it too. I mean that when you need to communicate with LOGO!, how can you guys do that? Is there any communication modul or special modul or integrated port? Thanks in advance!..

Two years ago i have designed and application to conecct a barcode reader to a pc.But Finally I think that conect this barcode reader to siemens Logo is it not possible, and you can see to other barcode and make an interface with a microcontroller pic to almacenate the codecs and conect ii to an input or siemens logo. But only with a Siemenns Logo I think thatit is not possible. Best Regards. Merry Chritmas.

Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi all, Spainlogo is right. Logo! can not communicate (expect ASi or EIB) in this case you application is not possible with LOGO!. Have a look to S7-200. If you donot need more then 6 DI and 4DO then you can use a S7-200 PLC221. The onboard interface is able to receive/send ASCII characters. Additional to the PLC and the barcode reader you need a RS232 PC/PPI-cable to connect the reader (RS232 interface) to the PLC (RS485 interface). There is also a free program example published explains how to do that including the S7-200 program. So this should be no problem. I hope this helps. Regards Helmut
