Problem with the ”Message texts” box.

Gronhund Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi. I have build a small program for my Logo! 230V using Logo!Soft Comfort Demo. I haven’t got a Logo! cable so I entered the program manually in the Logo! However there seems to be a difference in the “Message texts” box in the PC program and the one in the Logo! PLC. The problem is that in the PC program I can get the message box to show the time and date. On the Logo! PLC I can’t. Am I missing something or is it only possible to show date and time in the “Message texts” box when the Logo! is programmed using Logo!Soft Comfort? Best regards Gronhund.

Anyway you have my respect Now, as to your problem. As I said I don't know how to program LOGO without LOGO!SoftComfort and I don't know if there are any differences between blocks in LOGO!SoftComfort and these in logo memory. But I have some idea. If you wan't only date and time to be displayed during run of program you don't have to use massege text box. To do this you can set start screen with date and time. Fux Posts: 661 Rating: (123)	Hello Gronhund, it is possible: When you look at the function block "message text" in the display, it has 3 "connection inputs": EN, P, Par. Go to "Par", then you can select date and time.

Gronhund Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi. Thanks to both of you (and thank you for the respect). And don’t worry. The programs I’m using aren’t that complex. I have tried the “Par”. But in the display I can’t find the date and time anywhere. In the Logo!Soft Comfort the date and time is descriebed to be en the “Message box” itself (if I show the date and time in the software the block itself is shown in a little corner of the date or time box). However I can’t find the block itself when I use the Loge! display. Of course I could just delete the “Message box” but I have connected some LED spots on one of the outputs and I want to display the total on time for them while they are running (of course is not need-to-have information but I was wondering why I couldn’t get it to work when it works in the simulation). Fux Posts: 661 Rating: (123)	What kind of device do you have (order-number)? A message text can be used in LOGO! since ...0BA2. To display the current time/date in this function, you need a LOGO! 0BA4 or later. When you use the software (i think you have the demo of LOOG! Soft ComfortV5), usually as hardware ...0BA5 is selected. Here, everything is available. To find outwhichfunctions you can use, select your device via "Tools->Select Hardware" . I hope this helps.
