Problem in Downloading an old Project to a new OP170B with newer ProTool

Thank you for your help, it worked out, now when I click on MPI and have OK in Test window, but in diagnostic(PG/PC interface) by reading there is only 0 address ticked and not 1 or 10 which I set in OP and there is still no communication with OP Best regards Genelec

In PG/PC interface, properties of CP5511, you have selected 'PG/PC is only master on the bus'? Do you want to programm OP by MPI or RS232? Do you still get compile errors? Perhaps is it possible to put project on Forum? Best regards, Wizard

Genelec Posts: 22 Rating: (0)	Hi Wizard, now OK, once pushed Transfer button it appears second channel in Diagnostic. I connected to OP over MPI cable , MPI channel is enable on OP, properties in PG/PC -"PG/PC is only master on the bus" , I want to programm OP by MPI (when I updated OS over serial cable with Prosave, I had no communication error, and concerning a RS232 cable - it must be some translator box. Must it? And I have still compile error. What you mean to put this project on Forum? Best regards Genelec

And perhaps I could backup with Prosave this software from an identical working OP and try to download to new one, but I fear that a cure my be worse as desease File is sent divided in three parts. Wizard Diamond Expert Joined: 4/24/2006 Last visit: 11/14/2024 Posts: 8768 Rating: (1171)	Hello Genelec, Please open Protool project.Go to Controllers and go to properties of PLC_1, then go to Parameters. When you look at Peer Parameters, you have selected a MPI address 3 All PLC's you have in project have address 2. So you should Connect OP to network and choose a MPI network (the one the right PLC (you want to communicate with) is connected to) Then you can also 'Choose a communication peer/symbol list' Here you see now the selected MPI network and you can select the desired PLC.
