Hi There is a jack with a control loop. Its feedback signal is 20-4 mA and its desired position (set point) is determined by a potentiometer that supplies with 10 volts. The outputs are transferred to two solenoids, one of which opens the oil path in such a way that the jack moves forward, and the other moves backward. My problem is how to protect my system from unwanted and minor set point changes, for example, PLC have converted 0 to 10 volts to 0 to 1000 unit, it is not desirable that the forward and reverse solenoids operate frequently for only 5 unit difference between feedback with the set point .
