There has been an issue for about 6 months with that. It has not been fixed that I have heard. If it has no one has told us. However, it entails searching your regedit by CTRL F and looking for BACTAC and anything that has quotes around it, for example, “C:\Program Files (x86)\Cimetrics\BACstac v6.4e\bacstac-gtw.exe” then delete the quotes. ALL OF THEM. There maybe about 5-7 of these instances in your regedit. Attached a zip file we got on it September 7, 2017. The problem has been a round a while. The instructions we received: Try this: 1. Close all apps. 2. Unzip the attached file and run it. 3. It will add a program called Windows Install clean up. Run it (under Start, All programs). 4. Find BACSTAC in the list. Scroll up and down could be towards the top under ALL USERS or at the bottom. In any case find and remove it. 5. Close windows install clean up. 6. Go to the C:\program files (x86) folder and delete the cimetrics folder. 7. Open up Registry (regedit.exe). 8. Find HKEY_Local__MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services. Find the BACstac folder and delete it. 9. Find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432node. Find the Cimetrics folder and delete it. 10. Try to run c:\commtool\bacstac\bacstac.msi file to reinstall bacstac. HOPE THIS HELPS. Attachmentmsicuu2.zip (566 Downloads) |
