Hi all,

I am creating another thread that seeks for help to establish a communication between a LOGO base module and LOGOSoft, because the solutions in other threads have not worked for me so far.


I have the following problem. For some reason I can set up a communication between LOGOsoft and an 12/24RCE but not a 230RCE, even though I use the identical networks settings when I replace one for the other.

My laptop uses an ethernet/USB adapter. I assign it the IP address 192.168.0.1.

Test 1

A 12/24RCE LOGO has the IP address 192.168.0.2. and a TDE has the IP 192.168.0.3.

I connect all - my laptop, the LOGO and the TDE - to an unmanaged switch and I can ping the devices just fine.

In LOGOSoft, I create a new project and click "GoOnline" which shows two new unknown devices.

I right-click both devices and select "Upload". Both devices turn into active members of the LAN. The program that existed on the LOGO was uploaded to LOGOSoft, which is excellent.

So all this works as intended for the 12/24RCE LOGO!!!

Now when I replace the 12/24RCE with a 230RCE which I also give the address 192.168.0.2, that process doesn't work anymore.

As before, both devices the TDE and the 230RCE show up as unknown.

But when I righ-click and press "Upload" again, only the TDE becomes active. The 120RCE, with the same IP, Subnet Mask, and Gateway as the 12/24RCE had, remains inactive.

It is pingable, though.

The 12/24RCE and the 230RCE are similar devices. The only differences are the operating and input voltages.

Does anybody have an idea why the 230RCE is not able to communicate with LOGOSoft?

The 12/24RCE LOGO that works is a 6ED1052-1MD08-0BA1 with firmware 1.83.01

The 230RCE that doesn't communicate is a 6ED1052-1FB08-0BA2 with firmware 1.84.01

Both have the same X1P1 IE(LAN) port.

The LOGO Soft Comfort version is V8.3.0 from 2020-09-21.

I installed LSC V8.4.0 and it was able to detect the 230RCE LOGO. It is also good to know that the part number ...08-0BA2 indicates a LOGO model 8.4.
