Evert Janse Van V... Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi UMENCHO Thank you for this information . However when using ProSave and selecting OP17 as the device type there is no "OS update"menu available. I am using prosave version 7.4.4.0. And when i use Protool the OS update under "File > download > OS update " is greyed out which makes me believe it is not possible to do a OS update with Protool on a OP17. Any advice on what to do ? Let me explain what the actual problem is on the screen: The screen Reboots periodically every 35 seconds and gives a SF on the S7-300 PLC. I thoughtBack up and Restoremight solve this problem but now its back to thedrawing board. Any suggestions on what can cause this problem ? Regards, Evert

According to me the first one is lossing the connection with CPU (SF there) and then reboot of OP17. Is this duration of 35 s fixed all the times? Best regards, Hristo Mihalev

Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hello UMENCHO What happens is the following: At power up the PLC and the OP17 run through there normal start up routine and nofaults occur. 35 seconds after start up the OP17 first begins rebooting and then after it has rebootedthe PLC shows a SF. Yes the OP17 reboots after exactly 35 seconds every time. I unplugged the OP17 from the PLC's MPI port and then cycled the power off and on. When i do this no SF occurs on the PLC. And the OP17 still continues to reboot every 35 seconds. I have removed the OP17 from the machine and i am working on it at my office. I dont believe the OP17 is supposed to be rebooting like this when it is disconnected from the PLC ? From the above i concluded that the problem is on the OP17 and not on the PLC. Regards, Evert
