I have a solid state contactor rated 50 A (3RF2350-1AA02). I use it for a heater, 32A at 230VAC. Since the contactor is "ready to use" - mounted of a heatsink, shoul I care about the heat sink temperature or just ambient when determiming if the contactor is safe to operate? At an ambient temperature of 40 deg Cmyheat sink has 67 deg C. According to graph (50A) at 40 deg ambient , is ok to drive 50A safely. I should not care at all about the heat-sink temperature ? Can you explain difference between the two color trends (IEC947-4-3) ? Some info about the max heat sink temperature is given when using IEC947-4-3 trend (50K). According to Siemens support I should care only about ambient temperature. Maybe this info will help anyone. Thank you. |
