The ISO Dialect interpreter must be configured to function. Additional shell cycles have to be loaded into the control, changes to the GUD's loaded, many machine data changes, as well as possible reconfiguration of memory. It is not simply a matter of enabling the option. There are many things that must be done for G290/G291 to work as you want. I don't recall coming across any Hardinge or Bridgeport machines of the era with that functionality enabled or setup, however it is possible to do so, but it is usually not worth it. It is easier to buy a post processor that handles the Siemens cycles directly. What version of shopmill do you have on this machine? (Most of these machines were shopmill on pcu50 or pcu20). Some were delivered in standard cnc mode, like your picture. Look in
I don't know which era your machine is, but here is the function description for the approximate era. [snip] AttachmentFBFA_1102_en.pdf (196 Downloads) |
