Hi Everyone. I am doing a project which involves simple interlocking and totalizer. Currently i am having an issue with the totalizer part. Hope someone can help me on this. Its a very straight forward program, but somehow i couldnt make it work.

I have a Flow Meter that can give out digital pulse for the totalizer. This can be set in the meter itself. For example, if its been set to 0.1m3, so every 0.1m3 flow totalizer, the meter will give out 1 digital pulse to my Logo DI1, using Up Down Counter, i will count the number of pulse receive, scale it based on the meter setting. This setting can be set any values between 0.1-10m3 by client. Oh and its not a High Speed Pulse even with the lowest setting. So the idea is to make sure the client set the same setting on the Logo!, then my Logo! will count the pulse and scale it accordingly. eg, with 0.1m3 setting on the meter, Counting Value (CV) is 8, i should display 0.8m3 on my TDE. 

Issue i am having now:
I have tried with 2 different methods, 1st, CV directly feed into Math Instruction, my CV / 10. 2nd method, i feed my CV into Math Instruction without any math function, just want to convert the CV to Float, then use Analog Amplifier to scale it. Unfortunately, both methods give the same result. My scaled value will only show as round number 0.0,1.0,2.0… even though i have set to 1 decimal place. When my CV is between 0-4, result will be 0.0, CV is between 5-14, Result will be 1.0. 


Side note: I dont have the actual hardware, i am only testing with Simulation. Not really sure if the issue occurs due to any limitation of the Simulation.

When you divide an integer by 10, the result remains 0 if the dividend is between 0 and 4 (rounding down). If the dividend is between 5 and 9, the result is 1 (rounding up).

LOGO! doesn't support floating-point numbers.

However, you can simply map the counter value to an analog output (leave the default settings) and then set the number of decimal places in the analog output's properties. This will effectively "simulate" a decimal point for the display.
