URGENT!!! Star-Delta Starting

Patrikk Posts: 131 Rating: (0)	Dear guys, i have a 554 A motor and i want to use contactors for star-delta or wye delta starting. i dont know which contactors to use (is it 3RT or 3TF contactors) plz i need an optimal and a practical solution for such project.and if u can provide me with the connection diagram i would be very grateful...tnk u in advance

Valli Posts: 262 Rating: (45)	hi Mexflex, you can use 3TF57 or similer rating 3RT for AC3 duty application.All these contactor can be used for star deltaswitching and also can be used as a main contactor. The wiring diagram is as attached wherewith. However, it is advised to use either 3RB relays or 3UF for the protection of such a large LT motor. I have attached all the relevent pages for your help. You will found in this series softstarter for high power application using inside-delta method. Regards,
