hi all, I'm trying to make a communication between the CM 1241 and a Drive ( Berger Lahr servo drive) ... I made a cable with pin assignment: (3 to 3 -- 5 to 5 -- 8 to 8), as i understand from the both devices manuals ... i hadn't added any termination resistanse ... then i tryed to send buffer to the drive it's ok in TIA but there is no respose on the drive and i receive no thing; the TIA gave me the same status codes even if i unplugged the connection cable. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... there is something missed or wrong ... i combined the both devices RS485 pin assignment in a pdf file and attached it ... check it I searched many times for examples about PTP RS485 communication ... but i found nothing. THIS IS MY QUESTIONS: 1- what's the pin assignment should i use ?!! ... did i make the correct cable ?! 2- Can i use Profibus connectors becouse of it's termination resistance ?! ... if yes, the pin 6 (Power) in CM generates +5V and in the drive generates 12V ... - check attachment - ... is that possible to use profibus connectors without cause any problems due the difference in voltage ?!! 3- after programming the CM 1241 how can i make sure that the connection is active ... ?!! the TIA gave me the same status codes even if i unplugged the connection cable. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need support or a PTP RS485 Communication programming example. any help will be appreciated George Attachmentpin assignments.pdf (225 Downloads) |
