Uploading program from PLC

It needs special tools and not all systems allow upload. I suggest tocontact your local Siemens Building Technology rep. and ask them if it's possible with your system and what software you need. The two main options are the usage of the BOS (Branch Office Server) or EDOS (Engineering Data On Site). The EDOS feature is available from Desigo PX V4.0 upwards. The answer to your questions is that you can upload the project data only in case that the EDOS feature has been used on a controller V4.0 or newer. You can connect to the controller using the XWORKSplus V4.1 or later, start the EDOS menu and check if the PC controller project data has been stored locally. See the documentation for further information regarding EDOS. Please note that there is no other option to upload the Desigo PX program date, e.g. in case the project archive is not available anymore. Best regards, Albis
