motor temperature

hamid rad Posts: 41 Rating: (8)	hi there we have some big motor (low voltage). these have a interanl heater and temperature sensor and a fan too. i want to know: how is the temperature logic control of motor? my mean is: at what temperature, fan shuold be on, and when shuold turn of, and also at what temperature heater shuold turn on and off? (ambient temperature is: 45 & termal class is: F) tahnks a lot

(ambient temperature is: 45 & termal class is: F) tahnks a lot Hello Hamid rad, there is no universal answer to that. It depends on your motor, how it is built, its construction and so on. You will have to look at the technical data for your motor, there you should find critical internal temperatures and ambient conditions. As a rough rule I would turn on the fan at least 5% before critical temperature is reached. Normally that should be ok, but you should check the efficiency of the fan cooling. I would leave fan on, till normal working temperature for motor is reached. I would set on/off thresholds so that fan would run not too much and motor temperature could be kept in a small band. regards

Hello hamid rad, the specs of your motor does not say anything about temperature. I would set threshold to a value, that allows to touch the motor without getting burned (around 50 °C) regards
