What do i need to do with the parameter vm mapping?

Why cant it just read the analog input directly?

 

I set the analog threshold to on 300 and off 800, do i need to do anything else?

Every analog input signal (regardless of whether it is 0/4-20 mA, 0-10 V or PT100/1000) is converted into 0-1000 units by the A/D converter.

For a 4-20 mA signal, however, this corresponds to 200-1000 usable units, since the first 200 units correspond to the 0-4 mA range.

0 mA = 0 units

4 mA = 200 units

8 mA = 400 units

12 mA = 600 units

16 mA = 800 units

20 mA = 1000 units

If you want to work with the AI ​​directly in the LWE, then you have to constantly convert the units into the physical measured value in your head. Because you only get the units in the AI.

The physical measuring range of the 4-20mA pressure sensor goes from 1.00 to 10.00 bar. This corresponds to 200-1000 units in the analog input of the AM2.

Then:
4 mA = 200 units = 1.00 bar.
6 mA = 300 units = 2.13 bar.
8 mA = 400 units = 3.25 bar.
10 mA = 500 units = 4.38 bar.
12 mA = 600 units = 5.50 bar.
