I have a problem with the Logo! CIM. I have an RS485 KWh meter connected via a universal Modbus TCP/IP to RS485 converter to a Siemens Logo! Through the Logo! I can read all the values. Now I want to read out the same RS485 KWH meter with the Logo! CIM. For some reason I can't get it to work. The attachment shows how I have configured the CIM. I also cannot manage to retrieve variables via Restful API. Every time I get to see the value 0. I have tried the following commands: https://192.168.0.80/pi/rest/iw0~50 https://192.168.0.80/pi/rest/vw0~50 I have some questions: 1) I assume the direction is as follows. Modbus address to UDM. From UDM to S7. In the attachment you can see that I experimented a bit with the direction. What is the variables list in Data management for? As a precaution, I included all variables in there. The manual is rather unclear. 2) could it be that the connection from the KWH meter to the CIM is incorrect? I have connected the A and B. The ground to ground. The project LOGO! CIM modbus RTU communication I have working. Even there I cannot manage to read the values via Restful API while everything is working properly. thank you for your quick response. For your information, so far I have 2 projects working with the Siemens Logo! CIM module namely a temperature/humidity sensor and the example of the Logo! CIM - Modbus RTU communication with SINAMICS V20. The temperature and humidity sensor also operates on a universal TCP/IP-RS485 converter. ------------------ I modified the KWH meter project with the wisdom of the above projects. Still without result. https://192.168.0.80/pi/rest/vw10 gives the value 0. (vw20 and vw30 also both give 0 as a result. with the result that also the Logo! indicates nothing). In the attachment you can see the new CIM settings and an overview of my CAS modbus scanner. As you can see, the unit number = 1. This is also set as such on the KWH meter. Furthermore, the HR addresses are 40002 (volts), 40008 (amps) and 40014 (watts). The KHW meter works fine on the universal TCP/IP=RS485 inverter. It seems to me that the Logo! can handle this form of data. (see also CAS modbusscan) The data from the KWH meter is just not coming into the CIM. I have tried with and without termination resistors. Thanks again for taking the trouble. The Siemens Logo! doesn't have many secrets for me anymore but this CIM module still does. I don't give up easily, I just want to know what is wrong or when it doesn't work, why it doesn't work. On your recommendation changed the unit ID number. Again I had tried this myself before as had changing the Modbus addresses. Configuration 1: + LOGO! + ModbusRTU-2-TCP gateway + ModbusRTU device This configuration works without any problems.
