Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	If you do not want to create an extra text field, you'll have to create one big text field which displays the value + units. You have to concatenate the value and units in PLC (convert value to text and add the unit) and pass this "big" tag to WinCC for display. IMO a betterapproach would beto create a customized object in WinCC which is made up of two fields, one value field and other text field. The text field can be a separate variable or if using CFC, simply S7_unit attribute. Hope this is what you were looking for.

You don't have to read it from the PLC directly, it can be done by the script on the I/O field itself. Regards Sydney
