Can I have Simatic WinCC and WinCC Flexible 2008 in the same machine.

Background: 

I have a Windows 7 PC that has WinCC Flexible 2008 and normal Step 7. WinCC Flexible is running on Microsoft SQL Server 2005 without any issues. Now I have installed PCS7, the software package comes with WinCC and Microsoft SQL Server 2014. I can't create WinCC project it complains about not "The network location cannot be reached. For more information about network troubleshooting, see help." As a result of not being able to create WinCC object, I also can't create PCS7 projects. 

My question:

Is it possible to run WinCC flexible 2008 and WinCC Explorer on the same machine? Or is the conflict between the SQL servers? MS SQL Server 2014 was installed successfully but it seems like it did not create an instance of WinCC and I can't open the 2014 management studio. 

Do I need to reinstall MS SQL server 2014? Or this software can't run on the same machine?

Yes you can install and run WinCC V7 and WinCC Flexible 2008 at same time on the same computer

... but if you already had Step7 installed, you cannot install PCS7 !!!

No you can install Step 7 or PSC7. But not both at same time on the same computer
