Do I need Softnet Software for my Communication?

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi, That link determines which CP (communication processor) to get... Simatic Net is Siemens' communication software. You need Simatic Net for WinCC communication... and a you'll need Softnet license even to communicate with Siemens PLC's. When you purchase WinCC (as of v6.0 SP3) you receive a Softnet Lean license, which allows you to have up to 8 ethernet connections. Best regards, Danielle
