Example of WINCC and S7-1500R/H

Hi 

Is  there any example which shows definition connection between WinCC (with two IE general) and S7-1500R/H with software redundancy? I read related documents many times  but I couldn't find out how to create related system tags like "@C1@AlternativeAddress" and so on. In addition how to use it in change connection script.

Section 2 of the above document: You can use the system IP address.  This is an additional IP address that the two redundant controllers share.  The HMI automatically communicates with the primary CPU.

Section 3: Other interfaces (X2/X3) of the CPU are used.  Connection switch-over is performed in the HMI using scripting.

In my opinion, System IP address (Section 2) is preferable if it's permitted to have the HMI on the X1 network.

OK, I now understand that you use WinCC 7.x.  In this case, if you use System IP address, it's the same.  You just create one connection from WinCC.

If you use Device IP address, you need to configure software redundancy in WinCC.  Here is the help section on that, but I guess you've already read it.

If it is permissible to use System IP address, this will be a much simpler solution.

I want to use IP addresses because of following advantage:

Software redundancy over device IP addresses has the following advantage:

• Redundant physical connection (network cable)

So I need to implement software redundancy function in WinCC V7.5 SP2. Do I need to install any additional addon to WinCC to implement software redundancy function. If no, according to these documents how can I change IP address of primary and backup CPU if one of them fails? For that I need a simple example which shows setup of software redundancy function on WinCC.

I read all documents related to WinCC software redundancy with S7-1500R/H, but I find in these document some system tags which I don't know how to use them such as @<...>@AlternativeAddress. In addition I don't know If I create some system tags like @<...>@OpStateConfiguredAddress and @<...>@OpStateAlternativeAddress in WinCC , which part of software will change these tags and how? Maybe it needs to install addon software to WinCC. Actually I don't know what should I do?

Sorry I don't have enough experience to advise on how to implement what you are asking.

However, if you are using 1515R or higher, you can set up System IP address on the X2 ports, and bridge the two ethernet adapters on your WinCC PC.  This will provide physical redundancy.  It doesn't rule out a problem with the adapter bridging in Windows, but I would say that's far less likely to fail than any mechanism within WinCC.
