User Archive Control problem

same problem in WinCC 7.2 SP2
I have a Date/Time field in the user archive, there is no "Default Value" column in WinCC 7.5, 

I presume "Start value" would be the same, but it is not editable for Date fields!

The problem is even more severe, if you ADD a field AFTER the user archive has been created and used.   For example in a software upgrade, let's say the customer wants a date/time field added to the user archive.

You add it, and then all the existing records have an empty value.
When you use the WriteTags() functionality to transfer the record fields to the corresponding internal tags, you get the message:

The values of the following tags could not be written
ua_NewDateField

and you have to manually add an initial value to all existing records on the customer's user-archive.


Is there a fix / workaround for this?
