Please check your settings, interfaces, cables etc" Is the hmi supposed to be connected to PC or PLC? I need to be able to demonstrate to students how to use the hmi. Where does the null modem cable attach?Between hmi-pc or hmi plc? what configurationsdo i make both in set PG/PC interface and inWinCC flexible 2004?

Dear Tabby, The null modem cable should be attached to IF1A interface of Panel. The cable should be used between PC and Panel. Perhaps this link might help: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/23787153 The cable between Panel and CPU is RS485, you can use Profibus cable. Tabby Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	hi. At least i managed to communicate and download to hmi via null modem and Profibus,,,to S7-300 only. I still have a challenge with interfaces to the S7-200. I need serial D-adapters.thx
