Who changed SIOS? and why why was it made so much more un-user friendly?

Used to be able to search for a part number one digit at a time. Now I am lucky if I get a hit from a known good part number.

Google finds better information.

Dear user,

thanks a lot for your feedback.

I assume that you are referring to the Siemens SiePortal platform which is combining the Siemens Forum and the two backend systems SIOS and iMall.
The idea of SiePortal is to support our customer through out the complete process of buying products, finding support and documents, or getting help from the Forum Community.
At the end of the transition the user has a seamless user journey without jumping from one backend to another and will benefit from a new platform.
We are not there yet – meaning the process of providing a combined platform is ongoing. Currently we are implementing a new Search Engine which will support the user in finding all content through SiePortal.
First steps has been taken and the product search has been implemented, next step is the integration of the SIOS search. A lot of activities are ongoing – not only for the search but for commerce as well and you will see the first big changes already with the SummerRelease’25.
I only can ask you to stay patient for a bit longer. In Autumn latest Winter Release you will benefit from all the changes which are currently developed.

We are sorry to hear that you are having troubles with reaching your favourites. We are investigating problems with the redirection between the forum interfaces at the moment and hope to solve the issue soon.
