s7 1511C PLC: Memory card evaluation error: Memory card not accepted or cannot be mounted

I inserted an SMC card used by another S7 PLC into my s7 1511C PLC and it keeps flashing red on the PLC indicator LED, and refusing to accept any program download. when i checked the diagnosis buffer of the PLC, it was showing "CPU error: Memory card evaluation error: Memory card not accepted or cannot be mounted" I have tried several SMC cards (which were used by other running PLC) even a card from another S7 1500 PLC did not work. The things i have tried to do include:

1. using another SMC cards, although not unused ones..
2. formatted the card and PLC through TIA portal 
3. formatted the card from the hardward (1500 PLC)
4. updating PLC firmware version from V2.8 to V2.9
5. using SMC card from another S7 1500 PLC

Please, I need help.

What part # is the simatic memory card (an MMC)?  Did you verify the SMC card part # is valid for your S7-1511 PLC?
