WinCC DTS configure problem

Drew Posts: 31 Rating: (3)	hi everyone, I am configure DTS package now and want to export wincc archive to excel, so I have to use WinCC OLE/DB, but when I select the "WinCC OLE/DB Provider for Archive", I cannot select the "Windows integrated security" any longer for it is disable, and error happens even I fill the administrator user and password. I used to use wincc ole/db provider and use windows integerated security and it works, but nowI don't know why it happens, can you can me? Attachment p.jpg (463 Downloads)

The OLE DB Provider for SQL Server is an example. You also must have permissions in the data source to use the authentication service. Drew Posts: 31 Rating: (3)	thank you Ikkezelf, your information is appreciated, but I am not very sure which authentication service need to be start for the WinCC OLE/DB and how can I get the permission to use the authentication service? As I remembered, I used to use the WinCC OLE/DB and the "Windows integeration security" without any special configuration, then does the "authentication" has something to do with the time? B.R. Drew

Salma Posts: 1398 Rating: (151)	Hi Drew Quick answer, the WinCC OLEDB Provider does not use any authentication [:D] I cannot say if this is good or bad just that is how it is. You don't need to enter anything for the username/password. I have used DTS with WinCC so just ask if you have any other questions. Also the Connectivity Pack manual has a section on this too. Salma
